The Tote in Melbourne is possibly not the first place you’d think of to hold a wedding, but most definitely the place you’d think of to see a live band. The moment Tristen proposed to Jo in the pouring rain at a local music festival, there was no doubt they would have a musical wedding. Music is REAAAAALLLLY important to these two. You and I may like music, some of us say we love music, but these two…they eat, sleep, breathe music. And I’m pretty sure if you cut them they’d bleed musically too!
So where would a couple of musically inclined folks want to get hitched? At the place they have spent so much time seeing bands of course, The Tote. In a beautifully apple themed setting, Jo and Tristen were married on stage by the extremely charismatic celebrant (and radio DJ) Jon Von Goes
Jo was sung down the aisle by her friends to The Lemonheads “Into Your Arms”, and was later played “This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies.
yes thats right – SEVEN bridesmaids (not for seven brothers – not THAT kind of music!). They were a beautiful, mischeivous, what is the collective noun for bridesmaids? A Tulle of Bridesmaids? A flutter of bridesmaids? In this case I am going to call them a beautiful, mischievous TROUBLE of bridesmaids.
They even made their own beer for the occasion! Details everywhere.
