A French bride, an American groom and one very Australian wedding. Celine and Craig’s beautiful Malmsbury Mill wedding combined all of the best of three cultures and a whole lot of love. Celine and her family stayed at the gorgeous Ellis House in Kyneton, while Craig was in a gorgeous cottage in Malmsbury.
Such a prepared bridesmaid – jumping in with the two loo rolls to take care of the nervous sweat! So good. Celine and Craig opted to have photos before the ceremony so they could spend as much time with their guests as possible. To give Craig a surprise, Celine and I concocted a first look and wow, it got emotional. Even I was welling up.
The ceremony incorporated a few traditions I had’nt seen before but were absolutely beautiful. The wedding rings were beautifully tied together on a small branch and passed around the entire congregation for the warming of the rings. Watching each family member and guest as they received the rings was stunning. Celine’s mother certainly made sure a lot of love went into each of those rings. Craig and Celine also shared a glass of wine together, Celine’s had been aged in American Oak and Craig’s aged in French Oak.
A lot of fun was definitely had by all, and it was with tinge of sadness that the night was over and the guests boarded the bus back to Melbourne. But they didn’t leave empty handed, Celine and Craig made sure everyone had a little piece of Australia in the form of eucalyptus essential oil bonbonniere.
