I am counting the sleeps until I can see the Baz Luhrmann adaptation of The Great Gatsby. So imagine how excited I was when Megan invited me to her 1920’s Birthday Soirée. With fabulous chums in their glad rags, and plenty of razzamatazz, Megan’s house was transformed into a fabulous knees up.
The evening began with terribly civilised bubbles and cocktails on the front lawn as the sun went down. The birthday girl was the cat’s meow in her black lace and emerald green frock.
Fabulous tunes were provided by Shirazz, and the boys lead the procession of guests from front lawn to jumping Gin joint out the back. I had set up a miniature 1920’s parlour in the back garden for photos.
Don’t they all look splendid! It got a bit loose after a gin or two…and a lot of jazz hands came out. But no one broke character all night.
