Remember we ran a little Engagement Photography comp a few months back? Well, the winners Kayla and Roger flew from Sydney to Melbourne for a picnic adventure. And here are the results! From Tassie to Queensland, these lovebirds have a well travelled love story. Kayla and Roger have now just moved to NSW with Roger’s job.
Our adventure began with the incredible Justine O giving Kayla the VIP treatment with make up and hairstyling. I’ve worked with Justine many times (she’s even made me look beautiful) and I’m impressed every time. I wish she’d come and do my make up every morning! Once Kayla and Roger were in their glad rags, Alyce from Hire a Kombi took us for a spin in Bella to our picnic location. I’m pretty sure the whole way there the only words that came out of all of us were “I WANT TO RUN AWAY IN A KOMBI!”. These gorgeous campers would inspire anyone to run away for the weekend, preferably with a surfboard and a hot boy. And so much room inside you can pack everything. Bella is a fully functioning camper with bed, pop up roof, mini fridge, the works.
We unpacked our picnic and I gave Kayla and Roger their prizes to unwrap. Inky Co. provided us with this gorgeous indigo ikat wrap for all of the prizes, which ended up being a bit like pass the parcel after I was left to run riot with the wrapping!
How cute are these cheesecake jars supplied by Miss Ladybird Cakes? She also gave us some caramel doughnuts, but these were kinda devoured before we even got out of the van. (there’s a pic on instagram of Roger and Kayla smashing them if you’re keen!)
PHWOAR! Look at these hotties!
All the way from the USA, The Belle and the Beau gifted this sun shiney bow tie for Roger which perfectly matched in with our colours for the day (the wattle was in full bloom and OFF THE HOOK!). They make matching suspenders, bow ties for little guys and hair pretties for the ladies too. You should totally check them out, the fabrics they use are sublime.
From a source closer to home, these fabulous bottle labels came from The Design Den. Perfect for asking your bridal party to stand by your side at the altar.
My favourite greeting card gods Able and Game gifted a pack of cards and tea towels all about love in the sense of humour only those legends can pull off.
